She is the mother of RUTH (Rock Ranch Leah's Jewel of Erebor) and ABBY (Rock Ranch Abby). She was the pack leader in our home for nearly 12 years. She is a benevolent leader. Always poised, always alert and very protective of her property. She is merciful with the young pups who are finding their place in the pack. She is the most gentle dog with small children. She was running and playing HARD with the others until 3 days before she passed. |

ROCK RANCH ABBY
(Rock Ranch Turkish Delight x Nanna Scottish Tartan)

Abby is Ruth's sister, Nanna's daughter. Abby is exuberant! She is friends with everyone, a lovely example of a dog who is happy to be alive. Abby is owned by Dianne Rollison, of Honesdale, PA.
ROCK RANCH LEAH'S JEWEL OF EREBOR (aka RUTH) (RETIRED)
RUTH was born here and raised and trained by us, she is Nanna's (Nanna Scottish Tartan) daughter and her sire is Turk (Rock Ranch Turkish Delight).
She is amazingly intelligent, with a 'can do' attitude. She will be the next pack leader. You can almost see her thinking.

Ruth is now RETIRED from the breeding program. She has been a MOST EXCELLENT Mother. She adored being a Mom. She will live out her days happily frolicking on the ranch! We kept a daughter "JEWEL" to continue her (and Nana's) bloodline.

ROCK RANCH A CHRISTMAS BLESSING
(RETIRED) (Rock Ranch Stellar Della x Lawrence's Shadowfax) "Blessing" is a lover, just like her Mom Della. She is a people dog. She wants nothing more than to be with her family. Sweet, good natured, easy, adorable! Blessing had one litter with us. Pictured left at 20 months. |
Blessing is pictured below at 3 years old

ROCK RANCH LIBERTY ROSE owned by the Johnson Family
(Rock Ranch Leah's Jewel of Erebor x Rock Ranch Freedom Hunter)
"Libby's" Momma is Ruth and her Dad is Hunter. She is a peanut... just about 40 lbs. Libby is very intelligent... and she is power in a compact package!
Pictured here at 17 months.
"Libby" is so committed to her family! She loves children (her family has a small day care center) and prefers to hang out with people. She is extremely obedient and goes with them everywhere they go. She is a city dog but comes out to the country frequently to visit and romp.
She is stunning. Great eyes with liner and very perky ears... always attentive and super loving!

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE for ROCK RANCH
"ZUZU" Zuzu is a new bloodline for us. She is tall and elegant. Her personality is quite laid back! She enjoys romping with the other dogs but especially loves laying on the couch with us. She loves to give 'high five' (shake hands). Zuzu has an ideal tough coat with just enough curl. |
LIGHT OF EARENDIL FOR ROCK RANCH (Retired)
"JEWEL" Jewel's name means 'a light in dark places' and 'Our Most Beloved Star'. She exudes JOY! Playing hard is top game to her. Jewel is very athletic and nimble. So quick minded, Jewel has mastered many tricks which she loves to perform for visitors. Jewel is very personable and LOVES to snuggle up for a nap in your lap. JEWEL AFTER HER SPING LITTER (ON LEFT)

ROCK RANCH HAZEL of WATERSHIP DOWN
"HAZEL" Hazel is a completely new bloodline for us. She is as sweet as they come, and would not even harm a fly! She is totally infatuated with PEOPLE. Hazel longs to lay near (on?) people all the time, if possible. *wink* She is totally BRAVE! - - throwing caution to the wind! and totally FUNNY... No. HISTERICAL with her antics. If you whistle she will DANCE! (I have to get my techy kids to help me upload a video) Hazel had her first litter in 2020. Hazel has a fantastic long shapely neck, very low set hocks and adorable perky ears with just the right shape, in my opinion. Her personality is FUN! Play, romp, play some more! Super duper athletic. She is all about eye contact and people. Her gaze melts me. She is the first to try to climb in your lap (like a toddler) when you sit down with a cup of coffee on the couch... which inevitably spills the coffee, so you have to get up again and get a towel, which she happily bounds after you... what a fun game! She follows your every move, often tripping me if I turn around too quickly. I am very careful to read my Bible AFTER my coffee (just in case). What JOY she brings to our home! |
